What is Ceilidh?

Ceilidh

This dance form is an example of a partnered dance. In classes a choreographed sequence is generally taught, but in practice it is an improvised dance, where dancers change partners regularly.

Ceilidh is the traditional social dance of Ireland and Scotland and was the forerunner of the disco or nightclub as the social outlet for courting purposes.
